Shashwat is an architect and holds a masters’ degree in urban planning from CEPT University Ahmedabad. At UMC, he contributes in providing support to Jodhpur ULB with a focus on WASH, sanitation mapping and heritage management.
He has worked on urban development projects with the ULBs in the states of Chhattisgarh and Telangana for their respective State Finance Commissions. He has also worked on National Urban Health Mission (NUHM) along with the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) and has assisted on projects of UNICEF and MHRD looking at WASH compliance in schools. He has worked as an architect professionally in Hyderabad and Auroville and has also been associated briefly as a faculty with JNAFAU in Hyderabad. shashwat@umcasia.org
