A 10 member Ethiopian delegation had visited India on a study tour organized with the support of United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and ICMA. The delegation had come to study urban growth by understanding best practices in use by urban local bodies in India, with special emphasis on public private partnership initiatives.
The delegation visited three cities of Gujarat namely; Surat, Navsari and Vyara. During the visit issues like civic centers for smoother service delivery, rain water harvesting, beautification of city spaces, solid waste management, and community development center were at the center of discussion.
